Vietnam earned a record cashew nut export revenue of $4.37 billion in 2024, rising 20.2% compared to the previous year, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Some 730,000 tons of cashew nuts were exported last year, up 13.3% year-on-year.

The average export price was estimated at $6,003 per ton, soaring 6.1% compared to 2023.

Vietnamese cashew nuts have been exported to over 90 countries and territories worldwide. The US remains the biggest importer, followed by China.

Vietnam has retained its position as the world’s largest cashew processor for the past 18 years, accounting for over 80 per cent of processed cashew nuts globally, according to the Vietnam Cashew Association.
