Project TP1: Waste water treatment of west area of Saigon

1. Objective: Collect and treat waste water of the whole west area of Saigon

2. Location: District 12, Binh Chanh District

3. Scale

-           Affected canal basin: 1,400ha

-           To build 2, 3 level sewers: 63km

-           To build main sewer: 33km

-           Transition drain: 3km

-           Transition sewage pumping station: 2 stations (86m3/minute)

-           Waste treatment plant: 111.000m3/ day-night

-           Total area of treatment plant: 11ha

4. Investment capital: estimated at VND 2,720 billion (~US$136 million)

5. Form of investment: BOT

6. Priority level: 1

Project TP2: Rehabilitate canal and embankment along canal banks

1. Objective: Rehabilitate technical gallery along canal banks and build embankment

2. Location: District 2

3. Scale

-           Affected canal basin: 14,900ha

-           To build embankment along canal banks: 60km long

-           To construct road and green park along canal: 60km long

-           To build tide control sewer: 2 systems (apertures: 30m and 40m)

-           Rehabilitate 2nd level canal: 40km

-           Rehabilitate 3rd level sewer system: 600km

4. Investment capital: estimated at VND 6,880 billion (~US$344million)

II. Building a waste water collection and treatment system at Tan Hoa – Lo Gom canal basin

To collect and treat household sewage, improve environment quality of Tan Hoa – Lo Gom canal basin and canal banks

Project TP1: Environmental sanitation at Tan Hoa – Lo Gom canal valley

1. Objective: improve environment quality of canal valley

2. Location: Binh Chanh District

3. Scale

-           To dredge canal for drainage

-           To build embankment along canal banks with length of 4.3km

-           To construct a new system of 3.1km long box culvert, 10 bridges

4. Investment capital: estimated at ~US$170 million

5. Form of investment: BT, ODA

Project TP2: Building a waste water collection and treatment system at Tan Hoa – Lo Gom canal basin

1. Objective

-           To collect and treat household water waste

-           To improve environment quality of canal basin

2. Location: Binh Chanh District

3. Scale

-           To build a sewage conduit system D2000 (4,165m long) along canal by method of jacking sewer and flow separation  well

-           To construct a 5,000m2 wide transition sewage pumping station at end of canal valley of Tan Hoa – Lo Gom, bordered Nguyen Van Luong Street, District 6. Capacity of pumping station: 339,130 m3/day-night

-           To construct a load transfer sewage conduit system 2D1400 (10km long)

-           To construct a waste water treatment plant. Capacity:  300,000 m3/day-night

4. Investment capital: estimated at 3,520 billion VND (~US$ 176 million)

5. Investment form: BOT, ODA, PPP

6. Priority level: 1
