Leading Chinese companies to explore partnerships at VIS 2025

In early September, major corporations from China’s Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and those from Taiwan (China) will come to Vietnam to source high-quality goods from local suppliers, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The companies will be in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the "Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 (VIS 2025)" event series from September 4 to 6, with the aim of finding premium Vietnamese products.

A notable participant is Pagoda Group (BGY Fruits), China's leading fruit retail chain with over 5,000 stores in more than 180 cities, which considers Vietnam a strategic sourcing location. The main Vietnamese products Pagoda is targeting include durian, Siamese coconut, banana, dragon fruit, and jackfruit.

The group has been and continues to expand its procurement in Vietnam, aspiring to partner with Vietnamese counterparts to standardize cultivation areas and develop high-quality fruit product lines.

Businesses from Yunnan and Guangxi provinces have also registered to find durian, longan, coffee, tea, and cashews, seeking stable supply chains and transparent traceability to directly import these items into China's domestic retail systems.

The Food and Beverage (F&B) category has also attracted significant interest from reputable Taiwanese distributors. For instance, companies such as Elom Group, Chi Cheng Food, and Gu Gang have all requested B2B meetings with Vietnamese manufacturers.

"These enterprises are expected to serve as 'runways' for Vietnamese F&B products to accelerate their presence both within mainland China and in neighboring markets," stated the ministry.

Additionally, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in Beijing, a series of companies in the water valve and flow control equipment industry will also be present in Ho Chi Minh City this September. These include Da Yang, Zi Xin, Xinhua, Kai Zheng, and Tian Qian, along with technology control firms like Duo Meng and Henan Xinhua.
