Urban railways system
1. METRO LINE NO. 2 (THU THIEM – TAY NINH BUS INTERCHANGE)
- Alignment: Tay Ninh Bus Interchange – Truong Chinh – Tham Luong – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Ben Thanh – Thu Thiem.
- Total length: 19 km, first point at Thu Thiem and last point at Tay Ninh Bus Interchange.
- Project is separated into 2 stages:
+ Stage 1 (Ben Thanh – Tham Luong) The project had donor.
+ Stage 2 (Ben Thanh – Thu Thiem and Tham Luong – Tay Ninh Bus Interchange) Total length of 2 sections is 8.5 km.
Through districts 1, 2, 12, Tan Binh.

2. METRO LINE NO. 3A (BEN THANH – TAN KIEN)
- Alignment: Ben Thanh (at Quach Thi Trang square) – Pham Ngu Lao – Cong Hoa Roundabout – Hung Vuong – Hong Bang – Kinh Duong Vuong – Western Bus Interchange – Tan Kien.
- Total length: 16.2 km.
- Number of station: 11 underground stations.
- Tan Kien depot at Binh Chanh district with area of 25 ha.
- Through districts: 1, 3, 5, 6, 10, 11, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh.
- Project is separated into 2 stages:
+ Stage 1(Ben Thanh – Western Bus Interchange) Total length: 9.7 km underground.
Total investment cost (estimated): US$1.5 billion.
+ Stage 2 (Western Bus Interchange – Tan Kien) and Tan Kien depot
Total length: 6.5 km.

3. METRO LINE NO. 3B (CONG HOA ROUNDABOUT – HIEP BINH PHUOC)
- Alignment: Cong Hoa Roundabout – Nguyen Thi Minh Khai – Xo Viet Nghe Tinh – Highway 13rd – Hiep Binh Phuoc.
- Total length: 12.1 km (9.1 km underground and 3 km elevated).
- Number of station: 10 (8 underground stations and 2 elevated stations).
- Through districts: 1, 3, 5, Binh Thanh and Thu Duc.
- Total investment cost (estimated): US$1.2 billion.

4. METRO LINE NO. 4 (THANH XUAN – NGUYEN VAN LINH)
- Alignment: Thanh Xuan (District 12) – Ha Huy Giap – Nguyen Oanh – Nguyen Kiem – Phan Dinh Phung – Hai Ba Trung – Ben Thanh – Nguyen Thai Hoc – Hoang Dieu – Nguyen Huu Tho – Nguyen Van Linh.
- Total length: 24 km (The Metro line No.4 is waiting for approval from high authority to extend 14km more).
- Number of station: 20 (15 underground stations, 4 elevated stations and 1 ground station).
- Depot at Thanh Xuan ward, district 12 with area of 25 ha.
- Go through districts: 1, 3, 4, 7, 12, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Phu Nhuan and Nha Be.
- Total investment cost (estimated): US$2.5 billion.

5. METRO LINE NO. 5 (SAI GON BRIGDE – NEW CAN GIUOC INTERCHANGE)
- Alignment: New Can Giuoc Bus Interchange – Highway 50th – Tung Thien Vuong
– Ly Thuong Kiet – Hoang Van Thu – Phan Dang Luu – Bach Dang – Dien Bien Phu – Sai Gon Brigde.
- Total length: 26.3 km including 15.6 km underground, 7.1 km elevated and then 3 km underground (connected to Tan Son Nhat international airport).
- Number of station: 23 (16 underground stations, 7 elevated stations and 1 station at airport section).
- Go through districts: 8, 5, 10, 11, Binh Thanh, Tan Binh, Phu Nhuan and Binh Chanh.
- The project is separated into 2 stages:
a) Stage 1 (Bay Hien Roundabout – Sai Gon Brigde) The project had donor.
b) Stage 2 (Bay Hien Roundabout – New Can Giuoc Bus Interchange) Total length: 14.8 km (7.4 km underground and 7.4 km elevated). Depot at Da Phuoc – Binh Chanh district with area of 20 ha.

- Sharing Tham Luong depot with metro line No.2.
- Go through districts: 6, 11, Tan Binh, Tan Phu.

7. TRAMWAY NO.1 (SAIGON – CHOLON – WESTERN BUS INTERCHANGE)

- Depot at Western Bus Interchange with area of 2.1 ha.
- Go through districts: 1, 5, 6, Binh Tan.
