The main objective of the project "Saigon River dike from Vàm Thuật to Kinh river" is to coordinating with other projects under planning in 1547 to prevent flooding for the right coast of Saigon River - Nha Bè belonging Ho Chi Minh City which consider the impact of climate change by 2050 and 2100 to facilitate economic and social development of a sustainable city.

4. Project Objective

The main objective of the project Saigon River dike from Vàm Thuật to Kinh is to coordinating with other projects under planning in 1547 to prevent flooding for the right coast of Saigon River - Nha Bè belonging Ho Chi Minh City which consider the impact of climate change by 2050 and 2100 to facilitate economic and social development of a sustainable city.

7.3 Planning/Progress:

-Phase 1: Implementation from 2012 to 2015 with 6288.7 billion VND to complete the four sections of dikes, make sure to prevent tidal flooding for 15 old and new districts (excluding District 12).

-Phase 2: Implementation from 2016 to 2020 to 5572.1 billion VND to complete the rest.
