Tony Blair Institute to cooperate with Vietnam in attracting high-quality investment

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) will sign a cooperative agreement with the Ministry of Planning and Investment on attracting high-quality foreign investment and developing a financial center in Vietnam, according to TBI Chairman Mr. Tony Blair.

Speaking at a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on July 26, Mr. Blair said the TBI has helped Vietnamese ministries and sectors connect with potential foreign enterprises and investment funds that want to invest in the country, and is considering opening a representative office.

The former British Prime Minister said his country attaches importance to its strategic partnership with Vietnam and believes that bilateral ties will grow further in the future.

Prime Minister Chinh proposed that TBI promote links between foreign partners and investors and Vietnam, including investment funds and corporations from Europe and the Middle East, and help the country in attracting resources for green growth, emissions reductions, climate change response, and digital transformation.
