WAYCEN unveils AI solutions at Vietnam-South Korea Digital Forum
The third Vietnam-South Korea Digital Forum – DX Forum 2023 – was organised by South Korea’s National IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association in Hanoi on November 6-7.
It comes at a time when Vietnam and South Korea are increasingly building relationships and networks with the aim of continuous growth and development in the IT field for both countries. The two governments already offer support in the way of trade promotion initiatives for businesses to cooperate, connect, and seek opportunities in each other’s markets.
The forum aimed to share digital policies and strategies, promote digital innovation, and strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The agenda included networking, a global conference on the virtual convergence economy, and an exhibition for IT firms to showcase their services.
Among those at the exhibition hoping to promote connections between Vietnam and South Korea was WAYCEN - a medical technology company. WAYCEN deals with next-generation medical solutions with, for example, its AI-based precision platform for comprehensive cancer treatment.
WAYCEN introduced two key products at the forum, ‘WAYMED Endo’ and ‘WAYMED Cough’. WAYMED Endo is a real-time gastrointestinal endoscopy image analysis solution. Calling on WAYCEN’s AI know-how, it is now possible to analyse various characteristics of lesions in real time during an endoscopy. It can be used without an internet connection and is 100 per cent compatible with existing endoscopy equipment.
WAYMED Cough supports every-day respiratory health management through a smartphone application. It analyses a user’s cough and breathing, and through AI, helps users self-screen their respiratory health. The test result screen resembles a traffic light, making it easy to understand for anyone.
WAYCEN is experiencing rapid growth and has formulated a development strategy for Vietnam. The company sees Vietnam as a market with a lot of potential market for AI-based medical solutions and is actively seeking opportunities to connect with digital-health businesses here.
