Working group established to accelerate Vietnam-Japan economic projects

A coordinating working group to accelerate key economic cooperation projects between Vietnam and Japan has been established under a prime ministerial decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son on October 16.

According to the Government News, the group, headed by the Minister of Planning and Investment and including representatives from relevant ministries and agencies and People’s Committees of some localities,  is responsible for studying and proposing orientations and solutions to deal with interdisciplinary problems related to key economic cooperation projects between Vietnam and Japan.

It will also assist the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating relevant ministries and agencies in handling those interdisciplinary problems.

Vietnam and Japan have become each other's important economic partners. The latter is the former’s largest provider of official development assistance, second largest partner in labor cooperation,  third in investment and tourism, and fourth in trade.
