Vietnam Fruit Festival to be held in China

The event will be co-organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnamese Embassy in China, the Vietnam Fruits and Vegetables Association, along with several Chinese partners.

The festival will be one of several important trade promotion events to be held in China that aim to introduce unique four-season flavours of fresh Vietnamese fruits, and a number of processed products made from fruits which have been licensed to be imported into the Chinese market.

Along with promoting Vietnam’s brand and image, this also represents a golden opportunity for domestic businesses to gain greater insights into fruit market demand in China whilst creating a sustainable relationships with potential Chinese import partners.

According to the MARD’s latest statistics, Vietnamese fruit and vegetable export revenue in the first six months of the year reached US$3.33 billion, marking a significant increase of 24.3% year on year.

China alone consumed US$2.1 billion worth of the products, accounting for 64% of Vietnam’s total fruit and vegetable exports.
