Seminar on “Advancing Green Production and Sustainable Exports for Vietnamese Goods entering the Malaysian market”
Malaysia remains one of Vietnam’s key export markets. According to Vietnam Customs statistics, by 2025, total bilateral trade between Vietnam and Malaysia exceeded USD 15 billion, marking a 5% year-on-year increase. Vietnam’s exports to Malaysia reached approximately USD 4.8 billion.
To support Vietnamese enterprises in staying updated on evolving consumer trends, the latest developments in Halal certification in 2026, and incentive policies for ESG-compliant imported products in Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2026) – one of the world’s largest Halal trade fairs, featuring over 2,000 booths and attracting a wide range of international buyers and exporters. MIHAS 2026 presents a valuable platform for Vietnamsese enterprises to promote their products and services, and to connect with potential partners across Malaysia and the broader Halal market.
With its strategic geographic location, well-developed infrastructure, and diversified economy, Malaysia serves as a vital hub within global supply chains. At the same time, the growing adoption of green standards (ESG) is gaining strong momemtum worldwide, with many countries introducing incentive policies for ESG-compliant products. This trend is particularly evident across the Halal market and in Malaysia, creating new opportunities for sustainable Vietnamese exports.In line with the objectives, the HCMC Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Malaysia in HCMC and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), is organizing the seminar, with details as follows:
