Agro-forestry and fishery exports earn $51.74 bln in 10M

Vietnam earned $51.74 billion from exporting agro-forestry-fishery products over the last 10 months of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 20.2%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

In October alone, the export revenue stood at $5.91 billion.

There are six products with export value surpassing $1 billion, including wood and wood products with nearly $11 billion, up 19.6% year-on-year; fruit and vegetable $4.47 billion, up 39.6%; coffee $4.33 billion, up 38.5%; rice $3.68 billion, up 13.1%; shrimp $2.92 billion, up 1.7%; and tra fish $1.54 billion, up 8.7%.

With this result, the sector is believed to achieve its annual target of $54-55 billion in export value.

The US, China, and Japan remained the largest importers of Vietnamese agro-forestry-aquatic products, with the export value to the US surging 25.9% year-on-year, China 11% and Japan 5.9%.
