District and Department Competitiveness Index (DCCI)

On November 18, 2024, ITPC organized a conference on the implementation of DDCI in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.

The DDCI of HCMC in 2024 is built on the principles of objectivity, science, ensuring the consistency, inheritance, promoting the DDCI results in 2023. It is designed with enterprises as a center, facilitate them to efficiently participate into the entire survey stage from survey conduction to result announcement, and even monitoring the assessment results.

By applying online survey combined with direct interview with enterprises, cooperatives, strategic investors; the response rate is guaranteed to reach at least 30% in both departments and localities. The survey results will be analyzed and reported in detail, including in-depth assessment and development recommendation for localities, departments and sectors with high and low ranking.

The survey results are expected to be announced on December 15, 2024. The implementation of DDCI assessment in HCMC in 2024 aims not only to improve the governance’s quality but also to create favourable environemnt for local and foreign enterprises, investors and business households. Thereby, the City wishes to enhance the competitiveness through specific indicators, such as the information transparency, business support efficiency, time costs and informal costs. These are factors contributing to the enterprises’ trust in the adminitrative system.

With a transparent roadmap and plan, HCMC People’s Committee expects DDCI in 2024 to make positive contributions to the public administration’s reform and modernization, enhancing the enterprises’ satisfaction, thereby, improving investment activities and the city’s socio-economic development in the upcoming time. The conference on the implementation of DDCI is expected to mark a beginning of an important survey phase, promising to bring meaningful results for HCMC’s development.
