Samsung Vietnam expands university partnerships to develop high-tech talent
Samsung Vietnam has unveiled a comprehensive cooperation strategy for 2026-2028 with leading Vietnamese universities and technology institutes, shifting its focus toward postgraduate education and the development of high-quality talent in strategic fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), information technology, cybersecurity and multimedia communications.
In early June, Samsung Vietnam signed memoranda of understanding with several of the country's top technology and engineering institutions, including the University of Engineering and Technology under Vietnam National University-Hanoi, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The agreements mark a new phase in Samsung's long-term efforts to strengthen technology education and workforce development in Vietnam.
As AI continues to reshape the global technology industry, Samsung plans to upgrade its collaboration model with universities by placing greater emphasis on advanced training and specialized research.
A key feature of the new partnership framework is expanded support for postgraduate education. Samsung will provide scholarships for master's students while enabling engineers from its Samsung Vietnam Research and Development Center (SRV) to pursue full-time master's degree programs at partner institutions.
Priority areas include information technology, artificial intelligence, multimedia communications, cybersecurity, next-generation telecommunications networks and other emerging technologies expected to play a critical role in future economic growth.
