Vietnam expands trade links, business networks in Turkey, Spain

Seeking opportunities in Turkey

In Turkey, the delegation introduced products and hosted trade networking activities at the Vietnam Pavilion during the Foodist Istanbul International Food & Beverage Products Exhibition 2026 , organized by the Vietnam Trade Office.

The delegation comprised 17 Vietnamese enterprises operating across diverse sectors, including agricultural goods, food, interior and exterior furnishings, seafood, processed fruits and vegetables, cashew nuts, confectionery, rice products, dairy, tea, ginseng products, machinery, spare parts, electronic equipment, information technology, and e-commerce and online media.

At the fair, the Vietnam Pavilion attracted more than 100 trade visitors, businesses, and partners interested in the displayed goods. Vietnamese businesses engaged in direct discussions regarding product portfolios, pricing, supply logistics, transport methods, quality standards, and cooperation potential. Several companies recorded positive initial signals, paving the way for potential negotiations and business relationships.

The delegation also worked with the Vietnam Trade Office in Turkey to update information on import demand, consumer trends, distribution networks, and regulatory compliance when entering the market. Issues concerning partner verification, market access strategies, and risk mitigation in negotiations and transactions were also addressed.

Additionally, the delegation surveyed traditional markets at the Grand Bazaar alongside various supermarkets and retail outlets in Istanbul to study market structures, product categories, designs, pricing, and consumption trends.

Connecting Vietnamese businesses with Spain

In Spain, the delegation focused on surveying distribution channels, holding working sessions with the Vietnam Trade Office, and organizing the Vietnam - Spain Business Matching Program in Madrid.

The delegates inspected several retail and distribution systems in Madrid to examine market operations, the distribution of imported goods categories, and the role of importers and distributors within the supply chain.

They also met with the Vietnam Trade Office to review market characteristics, the business environment, consumer demand, and market entry strategies.

During the program, Vietnamese enterprises presented their production and supply capacities, product portfolios, and partner requirements, while Spanish counterparts shared their business and investment interests.

The direct B2B matching session recorded over 50 business exchanges, enabling enterprises from both nations to discuss product offerings, market requirements, cooperation models, distribution capabilities, and orientations for building business partnerships.
